Our first Community Catalyst & Potluck was a resounding success! A group of Gulfportians gathered at the Monday Morning Club, sharing snacks and ideas while collectively generating nearly 100 thought-provoking questions about the structure, roles, and limitations of our city government. From "What are the metrics for determining ward designations?" to "How can citizens gain traction and contribute to problem-solving with the council?"—and everything in between—these questions will serve as the foundation for our research and the creation of an educational civic compendium. Over the next few weeks, we’ll work together to find answers, striving to clarify and articulate the roles and responsibilities of our local government. 

The primary sources used for answering these questions include: Gulfport City Charter, Comprehensive Plan, and budget.
